| CHECKPOINT-elearning.com - European eLearning Newsletter Dear Reader, An event in support of revitalisation of the Lisbon agenda Brussels, May 2005 – (by Thea Payome) The European Commission organised a pan-European conference on eLearning around the three central concepts whose focus was to introduce changes: (1) giving more focus to the EU's actions, (2) establishing broad ownership of the Lisbon goals, and (3) improving governance and defining investment in knowledge and innovation as one of the three key areas for policy action. The number of qualified participants was limited to 500, but unfortunately many of the invited candidates declined the opportunity.
