Brighton (UK), April 2007 As part of the Quality Improvement Agency's
(QIA) national Skills for Life Improvement Programme 2006-07, Epic is
making four films that will demonstrate effective practice in teaching and
learning in a range of settings. Within the programme, Epic has an
opportunity to capture some of the very best examples of effective
practice through a series of DVDs/videos/films. These will then be
available for sharing with practitioners and teacher educators across the

Telework Increases in the U.S. |
Alexandria, VA (US), April 2007 The April 2007 issue of T+D (Training + Development) reports that last year, 63
percent more employers allowed their employees to work remotely than in
2004, according to the WorldatWork, an association for HR professionals.
Based on government estimates of 149.3 million workers in the United
Statess labor force, the 2006 data means that roughly eight percent of
American workers are able to telecommute one day per month, and roughly
twenty percent of both employed and self-employed workers engage in
telework.
