Global Benchmark Provides L&D with the Tools to Transform
London (UK), May 2017 - The Towards Maturity Benchmark™ gives L&D leaders an opportunity to review their strategy and personally identify the tactics they need to unlock potential in their organisation.
At the top of learning professionals’ wish lists were actionable tactics to make an impact on agility, efficiency, and performance, according to Towards Maturity’s 2016 Learner Benchmark Report entitled Unlocking Potential. By participating in the Towards Maturity Benchmark, which opens today, learning professionals will receive a personalised report that signposts where and how they can improve on all the outcomes of an effective L&D strategy. This is their moment to take control.
Free to use and taking around sixty minutes to complete, the Towards Maturity Benchmark allows learning professionals to confidentially review their strategy, compare their approach with top-performing organisations, and establish priorities. Consolidating the experiences of more than 5,500 people, each participant receives a unique, Personalised Benchmark Report to target improved performance.
The Towards Maturity Benchmark has been championing the development of the L&D industry since 2003. Scoring on a total of nineteen performance-improvement benchmarks, it includes insights to help improve business alignment, increase learner engagement, and make informed decisions about new models of learning, like 70:20:10.
Laura Overton, Founder and CEO of Towards Maturity, commented, “"In today’s fast-paced and technological world, L&D leaders are hungry for change, but are overwhelmed and unsure where to start.
"The Towards Maturity Benchmark provides direction tailored to each individual. We’re signposting where organisations need to focus and delivering the tools and tactics they need to unlock potential with a totally unique report. Yes, an hour is a long time, but the rewards are worth it. This year our Benchmark, freely available to all people professionals around the world, has an even greater global focus thanks to the support of our Ambassadors."
The survey is considered one of the most comprehensive, global, and independent reviews of how organisational maturity provides the keys to success to those looking to build an agile learning organisation. The Benchmark study is aimed at any learning-and-development professionals responsible for implementing innovative learning and performance solutions in their workplace. Organisations from across the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors are all welcome to take part.
Examples of participants from previous years include AXA UK, Boots UK, Brambles, BT plc, Coca Cola Amatil, E.ON AG, Lloyds Banking Group, McDonald’s, River Island RMA Group, 33 councils, and over twenty hospitals and NHS trusts.
Top-performing organisations are over five times more likely to benchmark and report a significant impact on business with up to
- 10% increase in revenue
- 14% improvement in productivity
- 15% reduction in time to competency
- 18% increase in customer and employee satisfaction
- 18% reduction in overall costs.
Teresa Rose, E.ON adds, "Benchmarking is an invaluable process that allows us to hold a mirror up to our L&D strategy. Being able to compare ourselves with so many peers gives clarity on how mature we are as a learning organisation. It enables us to see the progress we have made and the gaps still needing to be closed."
The Towards Maturity Benchmark is completely confidential and free to use until 15 July. All participants will receive a free Personalised Benchmark Report in September (valued at £300), thanks to the support of Towards Maturity’s Ambassadors.
