EDI Learning Pathways from Learning Pool and Focal Point Training
Derry (IRL), February 2022 - Founded in 2001, Focal Point Training is a consultancy company specializing in equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) training. By identifying the behaviors needed for a respectful and collaborative workplace, Focal Point Training works with organizations across all sectors to help build and embed a culture of inclusion.
Never has it been more critical to recognize and redefine training on equality, diversity, inclusion, and belonging. The year 2020 was one of change; COVID-19 exposed inequities in how we live, how we learn, and how we work.
Around the world, people may be experiencing isolation or feeling excluded for many reasons. As we all move forward and deal with the current crisis, a need to recognize and encourage diversity and inclusion through understanding and action has been sparked. However, the real need is to ensure that everyone feels supported, considered, and valued, both inside and outside of the workplace.
Focal Point Training has collaborated with Learning Pool to update and refresh the company's existing content regarding equality, diversity, and inclusion. In doing so, consultants have helped Learning Pool identify the gaps in its current off-the-shelf collection to create a single collection of new content on the subject matter. Together, Focal Point Training and Learning Pool have developed 24 pieces of content that cover unconscious bias, mental health awareness, dignity, and respect.
The new Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion collection is innovative and impactful, with practical lessons for consideration. These lessons not only bridge knowledge gaps and highlight the skills and actions needed for inclusivity in the workplace, but the content is brought to life by tapping into lived experiences and conversations.
Separate learning pathways have also been created alongside the new Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion collection, which are job-role dependent, enabling line managers and team members to receive content relevant to them.
Launching earlier this year, the new collection is now available to both existing and new customers.
