New ILX Training Courses to Boost Change Management
London (UK), May 2016 – ILX, a global best-practice learning company, has announced a range of new courses for individuals and organisations looking to boost their change-management and project-management skills. The ILX courses include APMG-International Change Management TM Foundation, APMG-International Change Management TM Foundation & Practitioner, Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®, and Project Management Professional (PMP)®.
The Change Management Certification has been developed by APMG in partnership with the Change Management Institute (CMI). Together, they have developed a professional “body of knowledge” for the discipline of change management that now provides an independent benchmark for the professional knowledge expected of an effective change manager. For businesses, the qualifications will help to minimise risks such as overspend, delays, and loss of employee engagement and to determine a successful business transformation. For individuals, the courses will provide a solid complement to process-driven methods like PRINCE2® and MSP® to help assess and manage change effectively.
The ILX Change Management courses include
- APMG-International Change Management TM Foundation Online: This qualification is based on the theory and application of change for individuals and organisations, plus stakeholder engagement. It is ideal for change leaders, portfolio managers, senior managers, and those managing change within an organisation. There is no prerequisite to take the Foundation course, and it involves 10 – 12 hours of online learning to complete.
- APMG-International Change Management TM Foundation & Practitioner Blended: This course is ideal for those looking to take a blended approach to learning. It takes 10 – 12 hours to complete the Foundation online learning course, followed by a two-day Practitioner classroom course. There is no prerequisite to take the Foundation course, but a pass is required at Foundation level to undertake the Practitioner workshop.
In addition to the new Change Management courses, ILX has also launched two Project Management courses:
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® Online and three-day classroom: The CAPM certification offers recognition to practitioners who are starting a career in project management, as well as project team members who wish to demonstrate their project-management knowledge. This ILX course will help prepare participants for the CAPM examination. Those taking the course will examine and analyse the inputs, tools, and techniques of the PMBOK® Guide.
- Project Management Professional (PMP)® classroom: The Project Management Professional (PMP)® is an industry-recognised certification for project managers. The PMP course is targeted at senior members of staff and is a global qualification to support any industry sector. PMP also increases the earning potential of project managers by "17 percent more than their non-certified peers", according to the Project Management Salary Survey—Eighth Edition.
ILX Managing Director, Russell Kenrick comments, "In regulated industries where standard operating procedures proliferate, they will already comply with documented standards that may appear to offer comparable controls. However, when there is a major change-management initiative or a new project, it is likely to cause disruption to normal operations. Skilled staff will help to limit possible risks and determine a more carefully managed outcome. In fact, any organisation in any sector can tap into this body of best-practice resources. Projects of all sizes and all types share many similar characteristics and best practice has something for everyone - and our courses are specifically designed to meet the needs of busy organisations and individuals."
