KPMG Wins Major Training Contract with Civil Service
London (UK), February 2016 - KPMG is delighted to announce it has been awarded a landmark contract to deliver high-quality, innovative learning to over 400,000 civil servants nationwide. A consortium of companies led by KPMG won the formal tender process managed by Crown Commercial Service on behalf of Civil Service Learning (CSL) and will deliver learning programmes for civil servants across the country from March 2016.
Commenting on the win, Kru Desai, Head of Government and Infrastructure at KPMG, says, "Ensuring our civil servants are fully equipped with the right skills to perform at their best is a great honour and responsibility, and we are very proud to have been awarded this contract. This new alliance with Civil Service Learning will build on the good work that KPMG has already accomplished with the NHS Leadership Academy - the single largest leadership development initiative in the history of the NHS."
The KPMG-led group has been awarded a three-year contract to provide learning-and-development services for the entire UK Civil Service. It is made up of a range of suppliers including small and medium-sized companies to provide bespoke expertise. It will work closely with CSL to co-create a high-quality curriculum and build a more innovative, bespoke, and engaging learning offer for civil servants.
Kru Desai adds, "By working closely with the CSL team, KPMG and other suppliers will provide appropriate and timely digital and classroom-based learning and development to all civil servants in the UK and abroad to ensure they have the skills required to deliver public services of the highest standard for the 21st century."
