Assima Expands and Wins Accolade
London (UK), February 2012 - Assima PLC has announced the acquisition of Kaplan Learning Technologies from Kaplan, Inc . Furthermore, alongside their client TNT Express, Assima has won the Learning and Performance Institute's top Gold honour for the Internal Training Project of the Year at The 2012 Learning Awards.
The deal with Kaplan formally completed on 09 February 2012 and covers all assets and intellectual property associated with the STT Trainer and Atlantic-Link product lines; it excludes the PerformIT product line. Kaplan Learning Technologies had business operations in Atlanta, GA, USA; Reading and Nottingham, UK; and Cape Town, South Africa - these will join the Assima organisation.

Assima and TNT have developed a successful solution to ensure the training of 12,000 people in over sixty countries in seven languages, ensuring that users are both competent and confident in the use of eight new systems supporting diverse business functions. Using Assima virtual cloning technology, TNT have created 245 simulations and supporting material, delivered 500 instructor-led training sessions, and supported system implementations in over sixty countries across 760 individual business locations.
