Kydon Signs Partnership Agreement with eXact learning
Genoa (I) / Singapore (SGP), September 2014 - Kydon Learning Systems Institute, a provider of learning technologies and technology-enhanced learning solutions in Singapore and Asia, has signed a partnership agreement with Italy-based eXact learning solutions, a digital-learning-content-management business-solution provider. Under the agreement, Singapore-based Kydon will act as the reseller for eXact learning solutions' learning-content- management system (LCMS) in Singapore and Malaysia, with potential extension to other countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
Kydon has been developing its skills in using the LCMS since June 2013, with the intention of becoming a "super user" of the system. It now feels that it is sufficiently familiar with the LCMS to help its clients reap the benefits of using the system, too.
Kydon’s Chief Executive and Chief Learning Architect, David Yeo, explained, "We fuse advanced pedagogies with cutting-edge technologies to deliver learning environments that engage the learners’ intellect and imagination. This allows us to deliver world-class technology-enabled learning solutions to our clients, creating authentic learning environments where people feel engaged to learn effectively and efficiently and enabling our clients’ workforces to perform well in today’s knowledge economy.
"Being the best at what we do means using the best, especially in the field of online learning technologies," explained David. "When Sarah Teo, our Chief Learning Specialist, joined Kydon from U21Global and told us about her experience using eXact learning solutions’ LCMS, we wanted to see this LCMS for ourselves.
"In particular, we were looking for a platform to help us manage and author learning contents, especially at an enterprise level. There are plenty of rapid authoring tools on the market that can produce online learning content, but these tools can’t cope with producing, storing, delivering, updating, and monitoring the use of content on a global enterprise scale for hundreds or thousands of learners," he said.
"Our core requirements included the ability for us to build content templates for our clients," David revealed. "The eXact learning solutions’ system not only has a template-based structure, but the eXact learning solutions’ team showed Kydon how to build its own templates."
Now "white labelled" as the Kydon Technologies’ LCMS, users can create, store in a centralized location (known as a digital repository), and publish content, as well as efficiently and cost-effectively revise and reuse existing content in different formats.
"The LCMS provides content creation, content management, and content delivery for organizations looking to implement scalable and affordable online learning and eLearning solutions," David said. "It’s built to industry-accepted eLearning standards such as SCORM, AICC, and IMS. Moreover, it’s future-proof and can integrate seamlessly with any learning-management system or business system.
"Kydon believes that with the eXact learning LCMS in place, it has the platform and the ability to meet both its business aims and its clients’ needs," he added.
