Authoring Tool

Mike Alcock Joins Epic to Launch gomo 2.0

gomo 2.0Brighton (UK), January, 2014 - Initially developed by Epic, gomo 2.0 will launch as a software as a service (SaaS) authoring tool that allows customers to create their own beautiful multi-device learning. It will operate as part of the larger Learning Technologies Group (LTG) plc.

The new gomo 2.0 offers users a flexible, cost-effective way to build, maintain, and update their own learning content through its intuitive, user-friendly interface.

The new Managing Director of gomo is authoring tool pioneer Mike Alcock, former visionary of Atlantic Link Limited, who was responsible for helping to launch their thrust from a start-up to a global eLearning player before their eventual trade sale.

"The authoring-tool market has been waiting for a product like gomo. The world has changed in the last couple of years from desktop eLearning to multi-device delivery. New developments such as cloud-based solutions and SaaS delivery mean that users expect that they will be up and running in minutes, can collaborate and build their content online, and won’t have to install software," said Alcock. "Our product addresses all these needs to offer users an unparalleled multi-device authoring experience, beautiful multi-device learning, and a drastically simplified deployment process."

LTG aims to capture fifteen percent of the UK content-creation-tool market by mid-2015 with gomo 2.0, seeing a great opportunity to create a strong recurring revenue stream over the next few years.
