REHAU Uses M.I.T e-Solutions' SITOS LMS
Friedrichsdorf (GER), June 2015 - REHAU is a leading systems and service provider for polymer-based solutions in the construction, automotive, and manufacturing industries. Based in northern Bavaria, the company has 19,000 employees at 170 sites in more than 50 countries.
To quickly and comprehensively bring training opportunities to its international sites, REHAU puts its trust in eLearning. For this purpose, the company deploys M.I.T's SITOS learning-management system in eleven languages, including Russian and Chinese. Since REHAU creates its own tutorials, it also uses WBT plus, a powerful authoring tool built into SITOS with which new courses can be published directly into the learning system for specific target groups.
In addition to the learning-management system used around the world, M.I.T supplies an "extended workbench" for REHAU's course contents. For example, M.I.T has implemented company-specific online courses on Document Retention Policy, Workflow Management, Edgeband Materials, and Audio Solutions. In some cases these are in multiple languages, and some are based on REHAU's own scripts. M.I.T is able to add its efforts at each stage of the development process for online courses if clients choose to generate specific partial work themselves.
This is also the case for compliance courses, which REHAU rolls out throughout the world. For the REHAU Rules and Procedures and Anticorruption eLearning courses, M.I.T handles the translation, along with audio recording in eleven languages for the anticorruption course. To this end, M.I.T receives the master in German, and then exports the text and later imports the translated texts and audio files for the foreign-language versions. M.I.T records professional speakers in its own sound studio, although it can also deliver high-quality synthetic voice files on demand.
