Roy Evans New Learning Consultant of LINE Defence
Sheffield (UK), September 2011 - LINE Communications, provider of learning and development solutions to the defence sector, has appointed Roy Evans as Defence Learning Consultant. Roy joins the Defence team and will add new military context and currency as LINE seek to address the challenges in optimising training post the Strategic Defence & Security Review (SDSR).
Roy brings a wealth of experience in developing and delivering learning solutions in the defence sector. Prior to leaving the Army, he continuously reinvented and developed his skill set throughout his 32-year military career. He completed both parachute and commando training courses whilst serving in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) and spent eight years serving with Special Forces, recently retiring in 2011 as a Major.
He was commissioned into the Educational and Training Services (ETS) in 2000, gaining an MBa and an MSc in Computer-Based Learning and Training.
Commenting on joining the defence team, Roy says, "Having previously partnered with LINE as their client on many assignments over the last five years, I am absolutely delighted to have joined the team on leaving the Army. LINE has always impressed me with their innovative approach, and this, coupled with many exciting and flexible propositions, assures me that they are extremely well positioned to assist the defence sector with its ongoing training transformation."
