UK Managing Director Appointed for Global Knowledge
Wokingham (UK), November 2009 - Global Knowledge, provider of IT and business skills training, has announced the appointment of Allan Pettman as its new UK Managing Director. Allan brings a wealth of industry experience, having been part of the senior management team at Parity for over five years, holding both the Sales Director and, most recently, the Managing Director position.
EMEA President Richard Pryor-Jones said, "I'm absolutely delighted to welcome Allan to Global Knowledge. In the recent past, we have moved from a training company that has predominantly focused on networking technologies to one that now provides a comprehensive portfolio of training solutions to a multitude of customers. We are very excited about the opportunities in the UK, and we are ideally placed to take advantage of the recent consolidation in the UK training market."
Previously, Allan was part of the management team at Comtec, which was integrated into Parity in 2000, and he was on the senior team leading sales and channel management at PMC Electronics - the former IT and telecoms division of Pace Micro Technology. With over twelve years of experience in sales management and having been central to many significant and successful industry projects and training programmes, he is an established and respected figure within the field of learning and organisational development.
Alan explained, "Whilst the current market is a challenge for all learning providers, Global Knowledge's blend of people, technology, and capability makes this an exciting time for the organization, and I am keen to take on this new challenge. I am very much looking forward to building upon Global Knowledge's existing platform and heritage."
