Global Company Praises the Docebo eLearning Platform
Naples (I), April 2014 - Having installed the Docebo eLearning Platform some eight months ago, Veeam Software, a global information technology and software company, has seen more than 50,000 of its business partners access online learning materials related to its products.
Moreover, at least 3,000 of these partners take courses each month – and so far over 10,000 of these learners have achieved professional certification through the learning materials provided via the Docebo cloud-based platform.
Employing some 1,250 people around the world and based in Baar, Switzerland, Veeam Software has regional offices in Paris, Columbus OH in the USA, and Sydney, Australia. The company chose the Docebo eLearning Platform because it beat competing learning-management systems (LMSs) in terms of functionality, extensibility, cost, documentation, and market share.
Having used a mix of self-hosted LMS solutions supported by its own programmers, Veeam experienced challenges with functionality, scalability, and productivity. In particular, Veeam realized that it needed a more flexible API that could be utilized from both PHP and .NET platforms.
"Veeam has moved all of its partner-targeted global content to the Docebo LMS and is in the process of internal course migration," explained Anton Mamichev, Senior Manager of Veeam’s Global Education Services.
He continued, "This project brought the unexpected benefit that we were able to identify a number of outdated and unused courses in the old LMS - so this process will improve the internal education overall. We’ve had great support from Docebo in terms of planning and implementing our future ideas," he added.
Alessio Artuffo, the Chief Operating Officer in North America for Docebo, a global eLearning software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions provider, said, "In terms of functionality, we delivered everything Veeam wanted without the need for any additional development work - and Veeam was able to customize the look and feel of the LMS to meet its branding needs quickly and easily.
"Not only did all the system’s users around the world experience fast cloud performance - wherever they were – but we provided a fast and easy-to-use API. Furthermore, our system offers data security via a daily database backup, which gives our customers confidence that all data is transparent, and they can manage it at any time.
"Moreover, in terms of system documentation, we provide a detailed explanation of the API, along with a technical wiki explaining the benefits of this technology, our process, and best practices," he added.
Reviewing the project’s value for Veeam’s partners, Peter Ruchatz, Veeam’s Chief Marketing Officer, commented, "The project is already proving to be highly successful. According to a satisfaction survey, 95% of partners who’d successfully passed our sales certification confirmed that our education helped them better understand and sell the product. The same number of partners reported that the LMS interface was good to use, while 37% reported that it was really intuitive."
