Stuttgart (GER), December 2008 - The book resulting from the eLearning Baltics 2008 conference can now be ordered online, and the call for papers for eLBa Science 2009 is out. The book features a collection of the papers accepted for presentation at the first International eLBa Science Conference held in Rostock, Germany.
The 2008 event focused on eLearning in working processes, addressing a variety of topics from the perspectives of computer science, educational science, psychology, and design. The book is in English, costs 21 euros, and is delivered free of charge within Germany and Austria.
The second "eLearning Baltics Conference" (eLBa 2009) will bring together a broad eLearning participant spectrum: researchers, practitioners, scientists, users, and producers of products and services. It is being held 18-19 June in Rostock, Germany and will cover different aspects of teaching and learning with digital media.
As did the previous conference, eLBa 2009 consists of four parts:
- eLBa Business - a business congress and user forum,
- eLBa Science - an international scientific conference,
- eLBa Exhibition - the accompanying fair for eLearning products and services,
- eLBa Workshops - a variety of pre-conference workshops covering various topics.
The eLBa Science 2009 call for papers is now open. Submissions presenting original academic or industrial research are invited. Please submit full texts - 8 to 10 pages in English - by February 1, 2009.
Papers will be rendered anonymous to facilitate blind review. They will be peer-reviewed and selected according to reviewer recommendations. Camera-ready papers have to be provided by Mai 1, 2009 and presented at the conference in June in Rostock.
