ELearning and Software for Education Conference
Bucharest (RO), October 2010 - The Advanced Distributed Learning Department of Romania's "Carol l" National Defence University has announced eLSE 2011, the seventh eLearning and Software for Education Conference, which will be held in Bucharest 28-29 April 2011. The central theme of the event is "Anywhere, Anytime - Education on Demand".
eLSE is a refereed international conference created to promote eLearning-related activities. The event provides learning and professional development by blending ideas from researchers, developers, and practitioners from education, business, and government. Participants learn, teach, and share based on their own experience.
The focuses of the Conference are:
- Technology-enhanced lifelong learning. This section revolves around innovative solutions in the design and realization of support-management systems for education and training, technical solutions, and approaches to interoperability and generating training on the fly.
- Immersive technologies. This topic is dedicated to the presentation of solutions regarding serious games, distributed simulation, multitouch, virtual worlds, m-learning, 3D solutions, and other related activities.
- New pedagogical dimensions in eLearning. This topic covers presentations on the way learning objectives are used in education, assignment-oriented learning, instructional templates, eLearning object life cycle, and reusability of eLearning content.
- Modeling and simulation in ADL. The discussions will be tailored to respond to specific issues regarding modeling and simulation, best practices in the ADL domain, repositories and sequencing issues, and solutions and systems that evaluate the performance of virtual learning environments and assess the actors' performances.
A special place will be reserved for papers that reflect progress in scientific research projects related to eLearning.
All papers submitted for presentation at the seventh eLSE event will be checked for plagiarism using Plagiat.pl solution.
Papers presented at eLSE 2011 will be published in the eLearning and Software for Education Journal and indexed in international databases.
