Gulf Educational Supplies and Solutions GESS 2011
Abu Dhabi (UAE), September 2010 - The only show in the Gulf region that is focused on the entire spectrum of the education sector, GESS 2011 will be held 26 - 28 April 2011 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre (ADNEC). GESS 2011 will again be under the patronage of His Highness Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.
The event offers educational specialists an opportunity to see the latest regional and international information communications technology and special-educational-needs solutions, sports equipment, books, science and lab equipment, as well as educational toys, games, and other classroom supplies.
The event is supported by BESA, Worlddidac, and Didacta, who are highly regarded associations that support and regulate the suppliers of educational products on a regional and global level. The support of these associations highlights the global commitment to GESS and the Middle East region.
GESS 2010 attracted fifteen percent more visitors than last year, a total of 5600 over the three-day period, and has succeeded in establishing itself as a must-attend event. More than 200 exhibiting companies from 27 countries met with educational professionals from across the GCC states. In addition to the exhibition, there was a strong focus on the Global Education Forum (GEF), which runs alongside GESS, and helps to attract a quality audience to hear case histories on new initiatives in teaching and network with local and international suppliers.
The gathering offers the possibility to
- meet the top suppliers to the education industry in the Middle East
- see the actual products that can benefit your school
- learn about the latest education initiatives by attending GEF
- network with colleagues and industry professionals
- view demonstrations and discuss the products with suppliers
GEF (Global Education Forum) is an essential part of the event, and the comprehensive programme is crucial for Middle Eastern teachers who want to hear case histories on new initiatives in teaching, experience best practice working philosophies, and network with suppliers and other educational professionals from around the region.
