Leadership & Management Development
London (UK), June 2011 - Tim Drewitt, eLearning specialist, will explain why an innovative and blended approach to leadership development is critical at the law firm Eversheds when he presents a case study at LMMatters annual seminar and showcase at BMA House in London on 15 June.
Inspirational leadership development is especially important in the face of the impending "Tesco law" - allowing non-legal firms to offer legal services for the first time. The legislation comes into effect later this year and is expected to intensify competition in the legal industry.
Eversheds is particularly proud of its approach to creativity and innovation, which forms a crucial part of its leadership and management-development programme. The Financial Times named the organisation the most innovative law firm in Europe in 2010.
"We want to make our lawyers, partners, and associates stand out from the competition. It is the most innovative and creative individuals - and the best people managers - who will go on to achieve the most success", says Tim. "We want them to be inspirational, business aware, and able to transform client relationships. Our development programme is very focused on these overall aims."
A blend of eLearning using Harvard ManageMentor, classroom learning, and coaching all contribute towards the development of personnel, with a personalised approach to individual circumstances. Leading faculty from Harvard Business School provide tailored executive education programmes for the firm.
Laura Overton, Managing Director of Towards Maturity, the independent, not-for-profit research organisation, will also be presenting at LMMatters annual seminar and showcase, revealing the results of a groundbreaking benchmarking study into technology-led leadership and management development.
The event, at beautiful BMA House on 15 June, is an opportunity to network with others interested in leadership and management excellence and a chance to see and try LMMatters online development resources.
