Unconference: MOOCs in the Workplace
Saarbruecken (GER) / London (UK), April 2014 - Human-resource directors, talent managers, as well as learning-and-development specialists are invited to discover the latest trends, the most innovative solutions, and state-of-the-art products, as well as to exchange their views and ideas concerning upcoming trends in the area of corporate MOOC solutions at this upcoming event.
The unconference "EMPLOY:ED 2014 - Technology for Learning and Recruiting" will be an ideal opportunity in an inspiring environment to discuss the trend topic "Corporate MOOCs - Where Are We Heading To?" This year's summit, taking place 10 am-4 pm on 14 May at the Google Campus in London, will be dedicated exclusively to further-education solutions for employers.
After the success of the European MOOCs Stakeholders Summit, which was held in Lausanne, Switzerland, in February this year, interested professionals and experts are now looking forward to getting together in London to talk over corporate MOOC solutions. Among the questions that will be discussed are, "What are the opportunities offered by MOOC solutions in the corporate sector?" and "Which criteria must be respected when adapting the academic MOOC standards to the needs of companies and institutions?"
The Summit is an opportunity for employers to benefit from the experience of educators who have switched to outcome-focused ICT procurement decisions and learn from today's education-technology companies, who are increasingly creating products underpinned by proven pedagogical practices.
In contrast to conventional conferences, the "EMPLOY:ED" Summit aims at encouraging all participants to actively discuss the topics that are most interesting to them. After a short introductory keynote, they will be given the opportunity to come together in small informal workshops to focus on their favorite topic. Once discussions are finished, participants will be invited to enjoy the end of the day with drinks, music, and a BBQ on the famous Google Campus.
