Winners of the First Charity Learning Awards

London (UK), October 2011 - The winners of the first Charity Learning Awards have been celebrating their success after being presented with their trophies at the Charity Learning Conference in London. In front of an enthusiastic audience, Martin Baker, the CEO and founder of The Charity Learning Consortium, was thrilled to announce the winners.




The winners of the first Charity Learning Awards are as follows

  • Best means of engaging your audience: United Response
  • Getting started, or restarted, on your eLearning journey: WRVS
  • Best overall eLearning programme: Barnardo's

One of the respected Awards judge commented, "I've evaluated many different types of award entries over the years, but these were without doubt the most inspiring."

Several Awards were also conferred on members, in recognition for their commitment to the Consortium:

  • The Charity Learning Consortium Ambassador award: The Guinness Partnership
  • Most engaged member of the Consortium: Macmillan Cancer Support
  • Embracing the technology: The Royal National Lifeboat Institution

Martin Baker commented, "It's been the most phenomenal journey to get to the point where we could launch the first Charity Learning Conference & Awards. I feel immensely proud of the great Consortium team that has made this possible and of all of our charity members, who really are an inspiration."
