Speexx to Extend Global Reach with New Office in Brazil
Munich (GER) / São Paulo (BR), April 2012 - dp (digital publishing), the provider of corporate language training Speexx, has opened its first office in South America. The move increases the Speexx footprint worldwide, with other local offices sited in China, France, Spain, Italy, the UK, and Germany.
The new Speexx office in São Paulo, Brazil, and presence in the region will provide on-the- ground support for existing and new Speexx corporate clients.
According to Gartner Research, Brazil is now the second-largest IT market among emerging economies after China, making the country a number-one target for online-learning providers like Speexx.
Jörg Koberling, founder and CEO of dp, comments, "Brazil has experienced some of the world's largest growth over the past decade, tripling its economy to become the seventh largest in the world. Just as an indication, with Speexx we have grown our user base in the market by more than 200 per cent just over the last twelve months."
The new Brazil office will be tasked with the rapidly growing number of Speexx users throughout the region. Speexx will also use the office to demonstrate to government officials and local L&D managers the importance of establishing a strong communication-skills- development strategy as Brazil's economy and international influence grows.
"Brazil's development is being driven not only by its thriving economy, but also by upcoming global events such as the FIFA World Cup and the Olympics, which will be hosted by Brazil in 2014 and 2016, respectively", says Koberling. "With events such as these, foreign-language communications skills are very much in need, and Speexx will help clients and students throughout the region to get ready to really enter the global arena."
