Call for Papers Extended until 30 May
Granada (ES), May 2012 - How can we turn our traditional educational institutions into (r)evolutionary leading organisations? The EFQUEL Innovation Forum will take place
05-07 September 2012 in Granada; the focus is an analysis of how open innovation can transform today's educational institutions.
Registration for the EFQUEL Innovation Forum is now open, with an early-bird rate available until 31 May; participants from Spain and EFQUEL receive a special discount. The Forum has also extended the deadline of the Call for Papers until 30 May.
Invited are first-rate research articles by academics, but also case studies and reflective articles by practitioners that provide a critical view on technology, development, implementation, strategy, management, and policy in the field of innovation and quality of learning.
Keynotes will be delivered by Dr. Tony Bates, Ana Garcia, Graham Attwell, and Stephan Atsou. Stephan Atsou will share his experience in combining learning and innovation from the corporate eLearning sector. He started his career as a teacher and was a pioneer in online learning in Belgium. He is co-author of "eLearning: a solution for your company" (Edipro, 2009).
Graham Attwell has specialised in research and development in regard to pedagogies for technology-enhanced learning. At EIF2012, Graham will explore the grey zone between formal and informal learning and the challenges the formal sector faces in trying to incorporate "free-range" learning. Can higher education find ways of validating workplace learning and experience?
On 05 September, participants are offered EFQUEL Academy training sessions: the first-ever comprehensive training in eLearning quality, hosted by EFQUEL. Each participant can choose three out of nine sessions presented by experts in the field, with topics including quality- assessment techniques, TEL design, institutional and programme certification schemes, quality of collaborative content creation, and more.
