eLearning Partnership with Local Government Association
London (UK), June 2012 - Learning Nexus has announced that it has been chosen as the Local Government Association (LGA)'s new eLearning partner, knocking out the organisation's previous supplier.
Tony Smith, Head of Learning and Development at LGA commented, "Learning Nexus was highly professional throughout the selection process. Its track record with public sector and the suitability and flexibility of the solution offered directly addressed our current and future training needs."
The Learning Nexus cloud-based Course Builder & Editor forms an essential part of the LGA's clear learning and development strategy. They are using this tool to customise a selection of the generic courses provided by Learning Nexus catalogue, as well as to create a number of new courses from scratch.
To date, the LGA have been producing courses independently and collaboratively with the help of Learning Nexus professional designers, thus giving them the best of both worlds.
The solution provided includes a learning-management system, online tools such as a training-needs-analysis tool (TNA), a preferred-learning-styles tool, the course builder and editor tool mentioned above, and over 100 high-quality courses supplied as both audio and non-audio options. The courses cover a vast range of subject areas such as diversity and equality, health and safety, management and workplace skills, lone working, and many more.
Tony Smith from LGA also said, "So far our experience of working with Learning Nexus has been really positive. The online course catalogue, which allows us to select a range of ready-made courses to adapt, and the easy-to-use Course Builder, are key benefits for us."
