New Social Learning Portal Called ALTO
London (UK), July 2012 - Calibrated to fuse formal and informal learning environments into one collaborative portal for the workplace, ALTO is the first Redtray Solutions release to leverage the community-based product development process launched by the company earlier this year.
Established in January, Redtray Solutions' collaborative research and development (R&D) process uses live customer sessions, forums, feedback loops, and extensive online research to collate the thoughts, opinions, frustrations, and expectations of hundreds of L&D decision makers from Europe's largest enterprises. Fresh data sourced from the 500+ community is fed directly into the company's development cycle to inform product strategy and ensure new features and enhancements are prioritised according to real-time industry requirements.
"We started 2012 with a promise to create the industry's most inclusive R&D community, and the new features in ALTO are the first to benefit from that initiative", says Redtray Solutions MD Vicky Jones. "When we asked L&D professionals across all our forums to outline their dream LMS earlier this year, social learning, virtual classrooms, and reporting and compliance were the three areas routinely cited as priority weak spots that corporate L&D departments really wanted vendors to address. ALTO responds to this feedback. We've prioritised development in these areas today, and we're listening closely as the community debates its priorities for tomorrow."
