Belfast (UK), October 2012 - Aurion Learning is very pleased to have its Managing Director, Maureen Murphy, shortlisted in the Outstanding Leadership/Management Category of the Women in Business NI Awards 2012. This award goes to the leader/manager who has demonstrated exceptional vision and leadership in business.
The Women in Business Awards celebrate the most entrepreneurial and innovative businesswomen from across Northern Ireland. Winners will be announced at a gala dinner taking place on 22 November in the Ramada Plaza, hosted by local television presenter Pamela Ballentine and with guest speaker Michelle Mone OBE, creator and founder of Ultimo.
Speaking about the Awards, Edel Doherty, Chairwomen of Women in Business, commented, "It was truly inspiring to read of great innovation, resilience in such difficult trading times, and excellence in the contribution to the Northern Ireland business community. We were able to get a feel for the sense of pride our businesswomen have in the work they do."
Oonagh Hinds, Invest NI's Eastern Regional Manager, who was on the judging panel commented, "Those who have been shortlisted demonstrate that even in tough economic conditions, female-led businesses are still finding opportunities to succeed. What is exciting about being involved in these awards is seeing the passion, commitment, and drive each of the finalists has for her own business."
