The program consists of technical sessions covering all aspects of the multimedia field in forms of oral and poster presentations, tutorials, panels, exhibits, demonstrations, and workshops that bring into focus the principal subjects of investigation. There are also competitions of research teams on challenging problems and an interactive art program designed to stimulate artists and computer scientists to meet and discover the frontiers of artistic communication together.

Of particular interest to many attendees is the ACM workshop on Serious Games. This special session will take place 07 November 2014. The call for workshop papers is now open, and the submission deadline is 01 June 2014. Review will be done on a double-blind basis. Please note that accepted papers will be included in the workshop proceedings of the ACM Multimedia and the ACM Digital Library.
