LINE to be acquired by Learning Technologies
London (UK), April 2014 - LINE Communications Ltd announced that it is to be acquired by Learning Technologies Group plc (LTG). LINE will be merged with Epic, LTG's principal operating company, to form the UK's leading custom content provider, and the combined company will have the requisite size, scope and reach to deliver complex, global learning solutions.
LINE brings a strong record in consultancy, thought leadership and strategic partnering to the new business and will continue to deliver these hallmarks to its existing and new clients.
Piers Lea, LINE’s CEO said: "We are now in a market that is demanding substance, scale and 'end-to-end' delivery internationally. Being part of Learning Technologies Group is going to provide us with the substance, investment, capability and reach to become a truly global player. It will provide big opportunities for both our clients and our world-class team. I am also very excited to say that this is just the beginning!"
The senior management team will remain with the business. Piers Lea will join the Board as Chief Strategy Officer of LTG shortly, once the Board has finalised its search for an additional independent non executive director.
