Adobe Captivate and SuccessFactors Earn Leader Status
Chicago, IL (USA), September 2014 - The business-software review site G2 Crowd has released its inaugural GridSM report for Training and eLearning software. The work ranks seven products to help HR software buyers in their selections based on more than 110 reviews from HR professionals. The GridSM, G2 Crowd's software recommendation engine, factors in customer satisfaction reported by users and vendor market presence determined from social and public data to rank products.
Training and eLearning software facilitates employee training through instructor-led or self-led courses. The software typically provides tools to test employees' knowledge and track courses completed, as well as social learning tools to facilitate team collaboration. It also generally includes customer-training features and content-creation tools to create custom training materials.
To qualify as a "Leader", a product must receive a high customer-satisfaction score and have substantial market presence. Adobe Captivate and SuccessFactors were named Leaders, while SilkRoad, Halogen TalentSpace, and Cornerstone OnDemand were named "High Performers". High Performers earn high customer-satisfaction scores with a smaller market presence than Leaders. Overall, Halogen TalentSpace earned the highest satisfaction score.
Across all Training and eLearning products, reviewers reported the product they use meets their requirements at an average rate of 80%, and on average reviewers said they were 75% likely to recommend the product they use.

Not only is the process of recording easy, the output is a professional-quality training video that can be accomplished with limited training for my staff. The application has a large feature set that makes it easy to record different things without having to put a lot of thought into how to accomplish it," according to Angela Molock, Technical Product Manager at Rackspace Hosting.

Of the 26 software vendors listed in G2 Crowd's Training and eLearning category, the seven ranked products each received ten or more reviews to qualify for inclusion on the GridSM. In addition, reviewers had to have specifically stated that they use the products for training and eLearning purposes for it to be included in the report.
Satisfaction rankings are generated from the user reviews, and market presence is calculated from vendor size, market share, and social impact. Based on a combination of these scores, each software solution is categorized as a Leader, High Performer, Contender, or Niche.
Premium research access can be purchased on the site for $599 and offers the original data for filtering and weighting, as well as individual profiles of each software platform with the most helpful positive and negative Training and eLearning Software reviews, detailed company information, user-satisfaction ratings, feature scores, and customer metrics. Future refreshes of the GridSM will provide updated rankings based on the latest reviews and social data.
