Information Webinar Series by Watson Martin Partnership
London (UK), March 2018 - Leading training and qualifications provider Watson Martin Partnership (WMP) has announced the launch of a new series of online webinars providing information and advice to HR professionals on a range of hot topics. Entitled HR Learning Bites, the series is the inspiration of WMP Managing Partner Melanie Martin, who wants the webinars to provide practical support to help HR practitioners keep abreast of the very latest issues in the industry.
All the webinars will be hosted by WMP's L&D specialist Joseph Grech and will feature a number of the Partnership's highly qualified advisers, who are all experts in their field.
First in the series to go out live, on 28 March at 12.30, is the webinar "Unlocking the Black Box 15 years on …", which will appraise the CIPD's groundbreaking research into understanding how HR drives business performance.
Leading the discussion will be HR commentator and well known author Angela Baron, a consultant with WMP, who commissioned the research for the CIPD all those years ago. In the intervening time, the work has become one of the profession's most influential studies, quoted by thousands of HR practitioners and CIPD students alike. Angela, will consider whether this revolutionary model stands the test of time or whether there are new factors in the workplace that have an impact on the people performance relationship.
"Angela has written extensively, publishing books on performance management and HR strategy, and as one of our experts, we thought she would be the ideal person to kick off the first information packed webinar in the Learning Bites series”, explained Melanie Martin. "Our aim is for each event to tackle a new topic that will provide really useful and up-to-the-minute advice for anyone working in the HR and L&D profession."
Each discussion will last around twenty minutes, after which there will be an opportunity for the experts to be questioned by members of the online audience. All the webinars will be recorded and will be available for a short time to watch on the website, after which they will form part of a library of videos on our Virtual Learning Environment available to WMP candidates only.
Topics under the spotlight in the future include Employment Law after Brexit, Line Managers as Leaders, and Getting a Return on Your HR Investment.
