Achim Giehr brings extensive experience to Saba's core markets gained in financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing, and the public sector. Prior to joining the company, he was Executive Vice President at MBT, a worldwide provider of IT services for the telecommunications industry. Before that, Achim Giehr spent seven years at Oracle, starting as an Account Manager in insurance and banking and was quickly promoted to Regional Manager Northern Germany. His last position with Oracle was head of Financial Services, Germany. In recognition of his performance in this role, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of Oracle Deutschland GmbH. Achim Giehr has also worked in sales positions at Ingres and Informix.
