ICDE Lillehammer Lifelong Learning Summit 2019
Oslo (NO), July 2018 - The Lifelong Learning Summit will be an international meeting place where education meets work for the development of lifelong learning for the future. Researchers and professionals in lifelong learning and ICT in education will exchange and share their research and knowledge with representatives from the industry, employers’ organisations, and trade unions. EdTech providers will present their technologies and methodologies supporting lifelong learning.
In this call for papers and call for contributions, scholars doing research on lifelong learning and related topics are invited to submit their work.
Also invited to share their experience, knowledge, and best practise within the area of lifelong learning are professionals and experts representing the educational sector, the work life sector, and government.
Conference Topics
The session themes will be organised around the following three subjects:
- Policy and society - global trends in education and work
- Supply and demand – how the educational sector can best meet institutional needs
- Learners meet educators – success criteria for inclusive learning environments

Sustainable Development Goals - inclusion, equality, and empowerment
- Policies for new competence needs and employment adjustment
- The digital transformation and automation of business and society
- Quality assurance in lifelong learning and flexible learning

- Enabling meeting places between work and education
- Facilitating for training and continuing education
- Towards a sustainable learning organisation
- Encouraging self-directed learning and empowerment
- Individual strategies for acquisition of knowledge and digital competence throughout (working) life
- Learning models in flexible and online learning: the interaction among content, technology, pedagogy, and users
- Open Educational Resources (OER), course portals, and MOOCs
- New pedagogies – participation, co-production, and sharing
- Learning strategies for social and cultural inclusion

The conference will convene 11 – 13 February 2019.
