Insights ahead of World of Learning 2018
Ben Betts, CEO of HT2 Labs, will chair a panel debate called "AI: show me the money". Ben leads the passionate and high-performing team at HT2 Labs, an R&D company for learning and performance. He is an innovator in the learning technology space and will challenge panellists Chris Littlewood of the AI business Filtered and Nick Shackleton-Jones from PA Consulting on the development of artificial intelligence within the learning sphere. Melanie Lepine, Head of Learning at Dixons Carphone, is speaking on "The role of L&D as changemakers". Having worked in the learning and development world for over twenty years, Melanie has developed a real passion for both customer experience and change. She has aligned her learning strategy to business needs with a focus on the employee experience. Lorna Leeson, consultant coach and founder, is taking part in a panel discussion on "New roles and skills for learning teams", along with three L&D veterans, Andy Lancaster, Dave Buglass, and Robin Hoyle. Lorna's change consultancy is focused on making work and life better, making positive change happen, and creating workplaces that treat people like humans, adults, and individuals. By doing so, she helps catalyse creativity, innovation, and potential. Catherine Pinchen, Head of Strategy and Capability for Global Learning & Development at PwC, will present on "How to get what you want: working with stakeholders and the business". With over twenty years' experience, Catherine is a global learning strategist for PwC who thrives on pushing boundaries, driving change, and leading transformation. Formerly the leader of the UK's People Projects team, she now leads projects on the global stage. Event organiser, Andrew Gee, explains, "There are various issues facing L&D professionals right now, such as digital learning, the impact of AI in learning, and how to keep learners engaged. We've assembled an outstanding lineup of speakers for the conference this year, along with an exhibition of leading commercial suppliers."
