The motto of LINQ 2019 was "Innovative School Education for Sustainable Development". Thus, we invited in the Niekée School, one of the most innovative in the Netherlands. The LINQ 2019 conference organizers were very satisfied that the pioneering environment stimulated so many discussions, and they fully agree with the participants’ feedback, which was exclusively positive. The feedback encompassed a general invitation to collaborate for more innovative educational institutions in the future like the Niekée School, which served as the host of LINQ 2019.
LINQ 2019 was organized by the Open Education research group of the Open University of the Netherlands (led by Dr. Christian M. Stracke). The arrangements were made in close collaboration with the Annual Trends Conference of the Welten Institute, the Niekée School in Roermond, the International Community for Open Research and Education (ICORE), and the European Learn STEM consortium.
LINQ 2019 was the sixth International Conference on Learning Innovations and Quality (LINQ), continuing the success story of the LINQ series. This success started with LINQ 2012 in Brussels, and was followed by LINQ 2013 in Rome; LINQ 2014 on Crete; LINQ 2015, which convened again in Brussels; and LINQ 2017 in Kristiansand, Norway.
