Open LMS Adds Derek Brost to Leadership Team
Denver, CO (USA), October 2021 - Open LMS, a leading provider of open source learning systems, has announced the appointment of Derek Brost as the company's new vice president of engineering and security, adding a deep technical and security background to its core leadership team. Brost brings decades of experience in cloud services to the rapidly growing online learning platform.
Brost joins Open LMS from InterVision, where he led his team through numerous acquisition integrations while managing some of the world's largest cloud systems. Brost brings more than 20 years of engineering experience and leadership to the role, with a specific focus on cloud solutions and security, making him a perfect fit for the fast-growing cloud-based Moodle™ platform of Open LMS.

In the role, Brost will help Open LMS unify its engineering functions and continue its progress in converging and simplifying its various Moodle™ platforms. He will also be responsible for enhancing the platform's security for users.
