Online Print Symposium 2024

Artificial Intelligence Revolutionizes Print

Essen (GER), February 2024 - The future is now - and it will be the focus of this year's Online Print Symposium (OPS), 14 -15 March 2024 at the Science Congress Center Munich. The OPS offers a globally unique stage for the latest expert knowledge, future topics, and pioneering start-ups.

As a meeting place for the global online print scene, the OPS is also the place to be if you want to network in online print. Whether it's Japan, the USA, the UK, Benelux, France, Poland, Scandinavia, or D/A/CH, OPS participants travel from all corners of the globe to be part of the leading international event in online print. Eighteen speakers, from start-ups to keynote speakers, will be on stage in Munich to share their message with the online print community.

The programme of the Online Print Symposium has been announced. For the first time on stage at the OPS, the online print community will welcome Kirsten Hommelhoff, the new Managing Director of the Bundesverband Druck und Medien (German Printing and Media Industries Federation), as a keynote speaker. She will focus upon the opportunities and effects that arise from the use of artificial intelligence for companies and therefore also on the printing industry.

Steffen Tomasi, CEO of Flyerline Switzerland, will deliver his closing keynote on the topic "Future Print: adapt or perish. Go with the Times or Be Gone in No Time". Digitalization is an absolute necessity, and only those who boldly reinvent themselves can survive.

A highly anticipated highlight among the speakers is Davis Zöllner, known for his success on the TV show "Die Höhle der Löwen" (The Lion's Den), where he was the youngest founder to win over investor Carsten Maschmeyer for his start-up. Davis Zöllner is starting a digital revolution with nothing less than business cards.

Tijmen van den Elzen from Engaige shows how AI is revolutionizing customer service and can deliver better service than humans. He discusses the impact of 24/7 support, the opportunities to reduce costs, and how AI is surpassing human limits in responsiveness, accuracy, and efficiency.

Thomas Beguin, Co-CEO at IXXI, takes a different perspective on AI. As a pioneer, he will report on the mistakes he has made in dealing with AI, the impact this has had on his company, and the lessons he has learned.

The presentation of innovative start-ups is one of the highlights of the OPS. In a pitch, young companies are given the opportunity to present their idea, business model, and marketability. The initial plan was to give six start-ups the chance to present themselves at the OPS. However, due to the high quality of very interesting applicants, the organizers have decided to invite seven founders this year.

One new feature this year is the introduction of the OPS Community app, which is now available to all participants. This platform enables symposium visitors to exchange ideas, network, and obtain additional information about the event. The "OPS 2024" app is available in all app stores.

Co-organizer Jens Meyer from the Verband Druck und Medien (Print and Media Association) commented on the community: "With this new feature, we are offering all participants even more services relating to the OPS and further opportunities for networking. We have responded to many requests and are delighted that we, as organizers, can help our industry to network even better and forge promising business relationships."
