International Conference in Florida Calls for Proposals
Orlando, FL (USA), November 2008 - The international conference on Knowledge Generation, Communication and Management (KGCM 2009) takes place in Orlando, Florida, USA, on July 10th - 13th, 2009. It is being held in the context of WMSCI 2009 - the thirteenth World Multi-Conference on Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics and the organizers invite papers for submission until December 19th, 2008.
WMSCI 2009 is an international forum for scientists and engineers, researchers and consultants, and theoreticians and practitioners. The forum focuses on specific disciplinary research, and also in multi- , inter - , and trans-disciplinary studies and projects.
The main topics of KGCM include Knowledge Communication, Knowledge Generation, Knowledge Management, Knowledge Representation,
Scientific and Technical Publishing, and Electronic Publishing. Confirmed keynote speakers include Prof. Louis H. Kauffmann, University of Illinois at Chicago, President of the American Society for Cybernetics and Prof. H. John Caulfield, Chief Scientist of the Alabama A&M University Research Institute.
Participation of both researchers and practitioners is strongly encouraged. Papers or abstracts may be submitted on the following subjects: research in science and engineering, case studies drawn on professional practice and consulting, and position papers based on large and rich experience gained through executive or managerial practices and decision making. The members of the program committee have been selected based upon expertise in these areas.
Awards will be granted to the best paper of those presented at each session.
From these sessions' best works, the best 10%-20% of the papers presented at the conference will be invited to adapt their papers for publication in the Journal of Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics at no additional cost to their authors.
Timeline:
- December 19, 2008 - deadline for submission of draft papers (2000-5000 words), extended abstracts (400-2000 words), abstracts for presentation only (200-500 words), and Invited Session proposals;
- January 14, 2009 - notification of acceptance;
- February 11, 2009- deadline for submission of camera-ready or final versions of the accepted papers.
