International eLearning Conference in Germany
Freiburg (GER), April 2010 - The IADIS International Conference on eLearning is being held 26 - 29 July 2010 in Freiburg, Germany and is co-organised by the city's Albert-Ludwigs-University. It will address the main issues of concern within eLearning, covering both technical and non-technical aspects.
IADIS, the International Association for Development of the Information Society, is a non-profit association and the conference is blind peer-reviewed.
Main topics have been identified; however, innovative contributions that don't fit into these areas will also be considered since they might be of benefit to conference attendees.
Acceptance will be based primarily on originality, significance, and quality of the contribution.
Topics for this conference include, but are not limited to:
- organisational strategy and management issues
- technological issues
- eLearning curriculum development issues
- eLearning delivery issues
- eLearning research methods and approaches
- e-skills and information literacy for learning
The Conference will be composed of several types of contributions:
- full papers - accomplished research results, maximum 8 pages/5,000 words
- short papers - work-in-progress/fresh developments, max 4 pages/2,500 words
- reflection papers - reviews of recent research literature, analysis of general trends or discussion of important issues related to the conference, max 4 pages/2,500 words
- posters / demonstrations - implementation information or work-in-progress, max 2 pages/1,250 words plus poster itself (or demonstration)
- tutorials - proposed by scholars or company representatives, proposal of maximum 250 words is expected
- invited talks - contributions from well-known scholars and company representatives, abstracts will be included in the conference proceedings
- panels - discussions on selected topics, proposal of maximum 250 words is expected
- doctoral consortium - to discuss work of PhD students. Prospective participants should send a report of their PhD projects and work so far; max 4 pages/2,500 words
There will also be corporate showcases and exhibitions of recent developments and applications, future directions, and noteworthy products and services. Exhibitors will be given an opportunity to display their latest offerings of hardware, software, tools, services, and books at an exhibit booth.
