Rise to the Challenge! If We Don't, Who Will?
Albuquerque, NM (USA), November 2010 - FWE is the International Forum for Women in ELearning, organized by the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA). Recognizing the role of women leaders, the fourth IFWE Conference will be held 01-03 December 2010 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the Embassy Suites and Spa.
This gathering allows attendees at all stages of their careers to discuss their ideas with experienced women leaders in distance learning from the corporate, government, education, and consulting fields. The program includes meaningful keynote and panel discussions, poster and concurrent informational sessions, and networking activities that are particularly relevant to women. The intimate format makes it possible for all attendees to be actively involved in participating in the IFWE community.
This year's keynote lectures are being delivered by Karie Willyerd on "The Future of Social Learning" as well as by Ingeborg Bø on "My Golden Learning Perspectives - After 40 Years."
IFWE themes transcend daily operations and decisions and address realizations about leadership, life balance, values, inclusiveness, collaboration, and global cooperation. The 2010 IFWE planning committee has chosen "Rise to the Challenge! If We Don't, Who Will?" as this year's theme.
IFWE is an event designed to promote leadership in eLearning for all constituencies (higher education, K-12, corporate, government, military, tele-health, etc.).
Session topics include eLearning policies, techniques, and best practices - as well as women's health issues, lifestyle balance, and how to grow professionally. Mentoring and networking activities round out the program so that when attendees leave, they are rejuvenated and excited about working in this field.
