eXact Learning Solutions Receives High Marks
Sestri Levante (IT), March 2011 - eXact Learning Solutions, a technology partner of TRIO, a web-based learning system in use in Italy's Tuscany Region, has announced that TRIO has brought positive effects to the region. Furthermore, the latest version of its LCMS - eXact LCMS version 7 - has been certified as conforming to the latest SCORM standard: SCORM 2004 Third Edition.
The conference "The TRIO System for Competitiveness", held in Florence, Italy, reviewed case studies relating to Training Innovation Research and (job) Orientation (TRIO) in the Tuscan Region. TRIO makes a free catalogue of over 1,600 training courses covering sixteen thematic areas available to citizens, public, and private organisations. To date, over 550,000 courses have been delivered to some 195,000 users since TRIO's inception in 2002.
A key theme of the Conference was that investment in human capital (job-related knowledge and skills) is vital in establishing and maintaining a competitive edge in today's labour market. There was agreement that in Tuscany, the use of learning technologies - in the TRIO system - is playing a major role in helping people and organisations in the region to improve their performance standards and more than meet European standards in professional qualifications.
"TRIO represents 'excellence' in the world of eLearning because it addresses the continuous evolution of training needs successfully", explains Gianfranco Simoncini, the Tuscany Region's Minister for Education, Vocational Training, and Labour.
Albino Bertoletti, President of eXact learning solutions, comments, "We're proud of our technology partnership with the Tuscany Region, and we're continuing to devote our expertise to this project. This means that we're continually working to make the TRIO platform easy to access and use, constantly updated with top-quality contents, and compliant with interoperability standards such as SCORM."
The Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) is a collection of standards and specifications adapted from multiple sources to provide a suite of eLearning capabilities that enable interoperability, accessibility, and reusability of web-based learning content. SCORM 2004 is currently the -œde facto- eLearning standard for interchanging learning content between compliant LMS and LCMS systems. The latest version of eXacts LCMS - eXact LCMS version 7 - has just been certified as conforming to the latest SCORM standard: SCORM 2004 Third Edition.
"Our single source, multi-delivery learn eXact platform guarantees standards-compliant delivery to all devices used to deliver learning materials - including mobile and virtual learning solutions", Mangialardo Director of Marketing and Product Strategy at eXact learning solutions points out. "We're delighted that it has proved its worth to those who administer the SCORM standard and has been certified as meeting the latest version of that standard."
