SkillSoft Wins ARPCT Business Partner Award

Nashua, NH (USA), June 2011 - SkillSoft, a SaaS provider of eLearning and performance-support solutions for business, government, and education has announced its recognition as the 2011 Outstanding Business Partner Award by the Association of Rehabilitation Programs in Computer Technology (ARPCT).

This award is one of four that were judged by ARPCT's executive committee. It is the first year that ARPCT has issued a national Outstanding Business Partner Award, and SkillSoft was selected as the winner out of the hundreds of business partners ARPCT member agencies work with. The ARPCT is an international organization that provides training and placement services for persons with disabilities.

"We're thrilled to receive ARPCT's first national Outstanding Business Partner Award", says John Ambrose, senior vice president, strategy, corporate development and emerging business, SkillSoft. "We're proud that our solutions have been helpful to ARPCT's mission of training and preparing people with disabilities for employment."

For more than ten years, SkillSoft has provided ARPCT with SkillSoft's IT Skills, Desktop Skills, and Business Skills libraries, which offer an array of contents, topics, and flexible delivery technologies to support the full range of formal and on-demand learning needs of organizations. The materials are distributed to ARPCT's rehabilitation agencies nationwide and are used to teach students the topics and technologies they need to help them find and prepare for employment.

"More than 13,800 ARPCT students across the United States and Canada have benefited from SkillSoft's support and generosity. Their user-friendly system has given access and opportunity to people with disabilities who would otherwise not have had the resources to succeed. SkillSoft was a unanimous decision to receive this award", says Dorothy Kret, president and CEO, ARPCT.
