Virtual College Partners with the CLC
Ilkley (UK), November 2013 - Virtual College is home to several e-Academies, such as the Housing, Safeguarding, and Healthcare e-Academies, which offer sector-specific courses. These courses have been chosen by the CLC because of their relevance to the growing number of Housing Associations, charities, and not-for-profits.
This new partnership means that optional courseware on offer to CLC members now includes a suite of social-housing eLearning that covers legislative differences for both England and Scotland. This should be of real benefit to Members offering housing and healthcare services.
Hayley Rutter, Partnerships Manager at Virtual College commented, "It’s a great meeting of minds! Like us, the Consortium uses online solutions to enhance traditional approaches to learning."
Wendy Stanley, Head of Membership at The Charity Learning Consortium commented, “This partnership really emphasises the close relationship we have with our members and our awareness of the needs and challenges they face up-skilling their staff and volunteers. Our partnership with Virtual College allows our members to focus on supporting their learners, rather than spending time sourcing cost-effective, credible content. Delivering a one-stop-shop for L&D, with a single point of access for learners, is integral to embedding eLearning within organisational culture. I’m pleased to say that this is a passion that The Charity Learning Consortium shares with Virtual College.”
Hayley Rutter, added, "The partnership between Charity Learning Consortium and Virtual College encapsulates CLC’s expertise in providing eLearning to the charity sector and Virtual College’s ability to create sector-specific resources. We’re very excited about the benefits this partnership can bring."
