HEC Paris Joins Global Network for Advanced Management

David BachJouy en Josas (F), March 2014 - HEC Paris has joined the Global Network for Advanced Management, whose primary aim is to develop innovative projects in the field of global business studies. This MBA and academic-cooperation platform, established by the YALE School of Management with founding members INSEAD and NUS Business School, counts 25 leading institutions on five continents.

The Global Network for Advanced Management promotes exchanges among professors, students and alumni, as well as research into global business issues. The network supports project work between students as part of a "global team"; organizes exchanges such as the Global Network Weeks through which students can attend lectures and courses at other member universities; and offers Global Network Courses, which are for-credit courses taught online by a member school that are open to students throughout the network.

Additionally, the business schools collaborate on data-collection projects and research that influence business practices. Participating schools also agree to co-develop case studies that incorporate specialized regional expertise.

David Bach, Senior Associate Dean for Executive MBA and Global Programs of the Yale School of Management, said, "HEC is not only one of the leading business schools in the world, it is also one that has more experience with diverse international alliances than just about any

other. This is why the School’s decision to join the Global Network for Advanced Management is such a strong endorsement of the novel and innovative character of this project. We look forward to involving HEC students, faculty, and staff in Global Network initiative, such as week-long global modules and interactive online courses. Students across the Network should be excited that they will soon be able to benefit from HEC’s unique strengths."

Bernard Ramanantsoa, the Dean of HEC Paris, said, "It is an honor for HEC Paris to be joining other leading business schools in this network. The opportunity to share and confront our views on the global markets with other major business schools is one that we will relish greatly. We are always excited at the prospect of a new academic partnership, and this one is no exception."
