First Programme Highlights for OEB Global 2018
Berlin (GER), July 2018 - OEB has published the first programme highlights for its upcoming annual event, which will take place in Berlin, 05-07 December. The webpage provides delegates with information on pre-conference workshops, session highlights, initial speakers, key themes, and ticketing.
"Our team is busy preparing the agenda for our most important conference to date on the future of learning and education. The event will take place amongst unprecedented change in education and workplace learning," explains event organiser, Astrid Jaeger.
Initial speakers include Patti Shank, one of the most influential voices on learning design; Esther Wojcicki, educator, journalist, and IT and OER consultant; Geoff Mulgan, author and chief executive of the UK’s innovation foundation NESTA; and Martin Dougiamas, founder of the open-source Moodle project.
OEB has also published a complete overview of its pre-conference workshops, which run 05 December, ahead of the main conference. During these sessions, delegates will acquire deeper understanding of an extensive list of relevant learning trends:
- creating video, audio, and 360 degree VR content
- using foresight techniques for future learning scenarios
- building new, quantified student apps
- applying the methods and mindsets of design thinking´
- getting improved data from learners feedback
- advancing learning design skills
- fusing working and learning
- and many others
The workshop programme is available on the OEB Global event website and provides details of nineteen pre-conference workshops, including content descriptions, target audiences, outcomes, agenda, and pricing where applicable. Delegates have the option to sign up for their chosen pre-conference workshops during the conference booking process. Seats for these sessions are limited.
OEB is open to educators and learning and development professionals; the annual event attracts delegates from over 80 countries from all continents.
