New Normal

Learning Pool Release Future of Work Library

Derry (UK), July 2020 - To follow the initial launch of Learning Pool's Coronavirus Course Essentials library aimed at addressing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic back in April, the full-service eLearning solutions provider has now released a "Future of Work" library, with updated coronavirus modules to help organizations and its colleagues adjust to the "new normal" of working.

The ongoing pandemic has forced many organizations to change the way they work, and as such, the new normal is still being defined. The reality of remote working is here to stay in some shape or form, and the ability to adapt to the changing ways of working still present challenges to what workers do and how they do it.

Learning Pool created its Coronavirus Essentials Library, accessible for free for a period of ninety days, to address the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. The new Future of Work library has been designed to offer even more support to organizations, helping them adjust to the new work modalities, whilst building and maintaining a high-performing team and delivering success in the new way of doing things through eLearning.

The all-new Future of Work library contains a blend of Adapt courses, as well as resources, tips, tricks, and videos so that businesses and their teams can become proficient and effective in working remotely, while also preparing for a transition back to office working.

For UK businesses, the Government has issued guidelines for becoming 'COVID secure', demonstrating an obligation to all businesses to ensure staff are working safely, whether at home or in the office. Learning Pool's Future of Work specifically helps businesses meet the guidance in Section 7 of the COVID-secure instructions - "Working safely during coronavirus" - which will require some enhanced training and communications for some organizations.

This section of the COVID-secure guidelines also explicitly mentions the impact of the pandemic on an individual's mental health under the rubric "Awareness and focus on the importance of mental health at times of uncertainty". To help organizations know what signs to look out for, the library includes access to our longstanding Mental Health Awareness module, as well as some short, sharp microlearning consisting of videos and interactive activities that offer practical advice on what to do/what help is available to those struggling.

The library also comes with access to all existing Coronavirus Course Essentials modules and has 19 new modules on the Future of Work, including "Leading a remote team"; "Synchronous and asynchronous communication"; "Remote recruitment"; "Hygiene at home and away"; and "Transitioning back to the workplace".
