eLearning for Kids

Instructional Design Volunteers Wanted

Ardmore, PA (USA), March 2012 - Do you have thirty to forty hours over a three-month period to volunteer your instructional-design skills? If so, eLearning for Kids, a global non-profit foundation, needs your help. The goal is to develop 150+ lessons in 2012 for Math World.

How can you help?

  • Are you a skilled instructional designer who can develop two or more storyboards?
  • Do you have approximately thirty to forty hours to volunteer over a three-month period?

As a volunteer you will be contacted and provided a storyboard template (with a manual) and a subject-matter expertise package (with math examples) to get started.

Math World is a virtual world for children to learn math against a backdrop of different countries, continents, and cultures. More than 100 lessons are already available in which children can visit a sheep farm, an igloo, the Eiffel Tower, an English bus, an African village, an Italian restaurant, and many more places around the world.

eLearning for Kids has also announced their first App for the iPhone. Living in the Mill (part of the Math World curriculum) is now available for download on iTunes. This e-lesson is set in the Netherlands and helps children learn how to count.

Thanks to a talented team of volunteer instructional designers and course developers, each week more lessons will be added to this full curriculum consisting of 336 lessons.
