Easier for Teachers

Flipped Learning Network Selects Schoolwires®

State College, PA. (USA), March 2013 - The Flipped Learning Network (FLN) has selected Schoolwires to redesign and host its website, creating a feature and resource-rich site that better reflects the focus of the organization. FLN chose Schoolwires as its provider because of the company's knowledge of the K-12 market and its reputation for excellent customer service.

The Flipped Learning Network's mission is to provide educators with the knowledge, skills, and resources required to successfully implement flipped learning. More than 10,000 members from around the world participate in the organization's Community of Practice. Schoolwires has been partnering with The Flipped Learning Network to deliver ongoing content around the flipped-learning model.

Schoolwires provides two solutions that are designed to make it easier for teachers and administrators to achieve the flipped model of education. Centricity2™ is a flexible website and content-management system. Nimbus™ enables districts to create collaborative and safe online communities that increase student engagement.

"Schoolwires is a great partner for us. They have a deep understanding of the K-12 market and support our same goals of promoting collaboration and the most promising practices," said Kari M. Arfstrom, Ph.D., Executive Director, Flipped Learning Network. "Our organization is growing, and we need the improved functionality and online experience that Schoolwires delivers through Centricity2. The Schoolwires technology will support our future growth and needs."

"As a Schoolwires customer and a member of the Board of Directors of FLN, I have firsthand knowledge of Schoolwires' outstanding customer support," said Jonathan Bergmann, secretary/treasurer of FLN. "We are confident they will be a reliable and trusted provider, helping us to bring important resources and information to the K-12 market."

In addition to working with the Flipped Learning Network, Schoolwires has created numerous articles and videos on the topic of the flipped classroom. Resources include interviews with teachers and technology facilitators who are using the flipped model, as well as articles on best practices for the flipped classroom.
