LearnCenter® to Be Sold in Portugal
Sunrise (FL, USA), November 2006 - Florida-based Learn.com®, producer of on-demand workforce productivity, will sell the LearnCenter® platform in Portugal through Conhecer Mais Ti, a Portuguese information technology provider, to increase its share of Portugal's growing higher education and training market.
"Our target market is higher education including universities and training centers," said José Trinidade, CEO and Founder, Conhecer Mais Ti. "Twenty-five percent of our clients are Portuguese universities, and our main goal for 2007 is to capture 50% of the higher education market, which represents around 100 schools.
What will impact our business tremendously entails a recent agreement, which has decreased five-year university programs to only three years. This will allow students to integrate into the workforce earlier than before, which means universities will need to offer additional eTraining capabilities in order to compete."
"Our products and solutions now include LAR Education and Microsoft Dynamics NAV, with add-ons developed internally for the higher education market," added Trinidade.
"We selected to resell the LearnCenter platform because of its flexibility. It includes the ability to create an unlimited number of cloned training portals with a mouseclick. Learn.com's reputation and Microsoft certification were also important factors in the decision-making process. We contacted several Learn.com clients, and all were very pleased with how the LearnCenter platform had improved employee and student productivity while reducing operating costs in their organizations," said Trinidade.
"We expect that with all the changes that education is undergoing in Europe, the need for eLearning solutions and applications will rise. Schools, universities, and training centers have to offer appealing and more flexible ways for students to learn," added Carla Loureiro, Division Manager, Conhecer Mais Ti.
