Eedo Launches ForceTen 5.0

Nashua, NH (USA), October 2007 - Eedo has recently announced the latest version of its learning-content management system ForceTen™. The platform provides enhanced features to support a truly collaborative environment that leads to better communication, higher quality material, and faster turnaround. ForceTen 5.0 also includes new features to improve search capabilities and analytics.

ForceTen's enhanced Workspace, which supports all learning materials, such as Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and PDF-formatted documents, provides a hub for building and managing learning content that allows real-time sharing of information on a project's status and content and also improves workflow.

The enhanced storyboard feature allows users to build templates to define the architecture of a course as well as its elements and presentation. This allows content developers to see easily what is needed and how it fits into the overall course. The result is consistent and cohesive knowledge sharing across an entire organization.

Developing learning content is a highly collaborative process that involves subject-matter experts, graphic designers, instructional designers, and administrative support. Each plays an important role in transferring processes and ideas to the skills and knowledge that impact performance.

"Using software such as ForceTen allows all of these roles to engage simultaneously in the development and distribution of content and offers strategic management of the process through workflow," said Gaylene Galliford, Manager, Training, Design and Development at Apria Healthcare. "ForceTen brings the elements of reusable content development, efficient design, and effective project management together in one comprehensive application."

Other ForceTen 5.0 features and benefits include:

  • Item level analytics, which provides the mechanism to judge the effectiveness of questions better, through additional and more detailed reports. New reports include item difficulty, item discrimination, distractor analysis, and security reports;
  • Advanced search capabilities, which allow developers to find and display all content objects related to selected keyword(s) quickly, and efficiently update content across an entire curriculum/repository;
  • WCAG and W3C compliance, which is compliant with standards that help visually impaired users navigate through courses.

"The underlying function of ForceTen is to break down silos within an organization and help transfer knowledge to employees, customers, suppliers, and the extended enterprise in a simplified process. We help organizations drive revenue, improve productivity, and cut costs because we get the knowledge to the people who need it so they can do their jobs better", said John Hudson, President and CEO at Eedo.

ForceTen 5.0 is available immediately and is licensed according to the number of users and type of use.
