Multinational Teams

New Software for Managing Global Teams Launched

Banbury (UK), August 2008 - Matchett's newly launched tool called "Managing Virtual or Remote Teams" (MVRT) sets out to lessen the negative environmental and economic impacts of running global teams in multinational organisations.

The course is part of a suite of similar programmes that include the Supplier Management training course and can prove useful as companies seek to drive down costs and to lessen the impact of a giant corporate carbon footprint.

As the world continues to flatten and organisations become increasingly global, the virtual team is more and more the norm. Team leaders need to be adept at welding the disparate resources at their disposal into a united and coherent whole, despite having limited or no opportunity to build relationships face-to-face.

Furthermore, today's managers are often required to bring together ad hoc virtual teams for a specific project, requiring them to accelerate the process of team development if they are to achieve their goals. To complicate matters, they are under increased pressure to do all this without expanding their carbon footprint.

Therefore, Matchett is now offering Managing Virtual or Remote Teams (MVRT) as one of its 'best sellers' to the wider market - a 'Flagship' course.
