Free eLearning for National Learning at Work Day

Stroud (UK), May 2012 - The Corporate eLearning Consortium is supporting National Learning at Work Day on 17 May by making its entire eLearning suite of more than 180 courses complimentary for the week. The day is part of the UK's Adult Learners' Week.

The wide range of courses on offer includes desktop IT skills, management development, and soft skills such as communication. Free-of-charge eLearning for the week beginning 14 May gives organisations the opportunity to experience the benefits of eLearning for themselves.

Martin Baker, MD of The Corporate eLearning Consortium comments, "It's been a tough time for British business, and learning and development budgets have never been tighter. This is why I'm proud to be supporting Learning at Work Day by throwing open our entire eLearning suite to organisations for a week."

"Using eLearning as part of a sensible blended approach to L&D not only saves organisations time and money", he adds. "Research shows that by enhancing the essential skills of their staff, businesses can boost their overall agility and therefore profitability as well."

Organisations interested in free access to the Consortium's eLearning suite for Adult Learners' Week can register online or email their request to Melanie Wenban, Customer Care Coordinator, mwenban@elearningconsortium.com by 9 May latest. The Consortium will set up a pass that will enable all staff within nominated organisations to self-register and log on.

Towards Maturity's 2011-2012 benchmark report "Boosting Business Agility" reveals how learning technologies are supporting careers: of the top-performing companies taking part in its research, 56% report that they support career progression, whilst 49% say their learners consider eLearning to be good for their careers.
