A Learning Community around Human Rights

Wageningen (NL), July 2007 - Stoas Learning BV will be delivering an electronic learning environment to the Council of Europe in October. Ultimately, this will bring together 100,000 lawyers from 47 countries for the implementation of the European Convention on Human Rights.
The company, based in Wageningen, the Netherlands, was deemed the best of the lot after a European tender process.

An electronic learning environment has been created for judges, prosecutors, and lawyers where training material, descriptions, and explanations of recent court cases, documents, and presentations are shared online by an active and committed community. The tender project will run for a period of three years.

The solution provided by Stoas Learning makes use of the firm's many years of experience in eLearning systems combined with training, advice, and consultancy. The open source Moodle environment will be one of the many features offered by the solution.

Stoas Learning has also committed to develop several web-based training courses for using Moodle and other functionality and professional training courses related to the legal field. The firm will also provide major support for communication and marketing activities to guarantee the foundation for success of the learning environment.
